Install phpMyAdmin on synology

phpMyAdmin can be installed via the package management of Synology DiskStation Manager.

• visit http://www.synology.com/support/download.php?lang=enu and download the phpMyAdmin Package.
• unzip it.
• use the Package Manager of Synology DiskStation Manager to install the file with the ending spk (hpMyAdmin-3.2.5-001.spk)
• start the package via the Package Manager

Use your browser to show the installed phpMyAdmin (e.g.):

http://192.168.0.2/phpMyAdmin

(use your IP or host name instead).

You can login with root and an empty password initially.

You should immediately change the password in phpMyAdmin for the user root to fix this security risk.
